Chessington World of Adventures Gruffulo room review
Gruffulo themed room

Gruffulo themed room

Price: Starts from £285 including B&B

Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5)

From the minute you enter the Gruffulo room at Chessington you begin on the magical adventure into the ‘Deep dark woods…’ The hotel room has it's very own Gruffulo audio that activates when you open the door (this can be turned off if you wish). The whole room, including the bathroom is Gruffulo themed to the max!

The whole of the room was made to look like a scene from the book. The walls iwere decorated with beautiful Gruffulo painted scenes and even the carpet followed the theme. The clever use of the decorative leaves really made the children feel like they were in the Gruffulo's woods!

The room was divided into two sleeping sections. An area for the children and an area for adults. The children's area was equipped with a bunk-bed treehouse and an interactive tv. The adults section had a 3D Gruffulo head above the bed and lots of decorative leaves to make it feel like you were in the 'deep dark woods'. The beds were comfy and the room had everything we needed, plus a few themed extras such as the Gruffulo poncho towels (for the children) Gruffulo mugs, Gruffulo games and a giant stuffed 'big, bad mouse' from the Gruffulo. The room itself was spacious and comfy and it had adequate space for hanging clothes, storing shoes etc.

The bathroom was well equipped with towels and complimentary shower gel and shampoo. The bathroom was spacious and you even had the option to have a bath or a shower. The kids opted for  a bubble bath as the bath had its very own TV!

Breakfast consisted of an 'all you eat' style buffet which was well stocked and offered a huge range of foods including; cereals, pastries, fruits, yogurts, meats, cheeses and a selection of components to make up your own English breakfast. Breakfast was throughly enjoyed by everyone and set us up for a busy day exploring the park.

The staff at the hotel were all very professional and friendly, especially with the children, making their stay  even more special.

The six brand new Gruffalo themed rooms in the Safari Hotel are accompanied by many other Gruffalo offerings at Chessington, including; The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure, The Gruffalo Gift Shop and The Gruffalo Bites food outlet both offering themed goodies; and The Gruffalo Arena, where children can even meet the Gruffalo himself!
