A light but effective hand cream that's suitable sensitive skin
Product: Gloves in a Bottle available from Superdrug Price: £4.99 Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5)
What they say it does:
Gloves In A Bottle is a shielding lotion, for use anywhere on the body. It bonds with the outer layer of skin cells to give them integrity, so it retains moisture and oils in the skin while offering a shielding property which protects from the elements that interfere with the skin's condition.
It doesn't wash off! Instead, it comes off with natural exfoliation of the skin layers and therefore remains effective for several hours. Because this protective layer locks in moisture, it allows the condition of dry/damaged skin to be restored naturally and very effectively! It helps to relieve eczema, psoriasis, it's also used in diabetic care, and it prevents blistering in patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
The shielding property prevents skin allergies, dermatitis and skin irritations. In winter it's great for a range of dry skin conditions and in summer it can help heal bug bites and reduce skin-pealing after sunburn.

I have really sensitive skin and psoriasis so I'm generally really careful about skincare products I use in case of allergy or irritation. I needn't have worried about Gloves in a Bottle though – it is not only nourishing and hydrating, the special formulation adds a protective layer which actually prevents other irritants affecting the skin.
I liked the fact that there's hardly any scent – just a light, 'clean' smell. A small amount goes a long way and is quickly and easily absorbed and doesn't leave the hands feeling 'greasy' like many hand creams can.
Since I started using Gloves in a Bottle regularly I've noticed a definite improvement in the overall look and feel of the skin on my hands – particularly around my cuticles (which previously were very dry and ragged).
Overall this is a really effective hand cream that's suitable sensitive skin that's good value and easy to apply. I'd definitely buy it again.
