Christmas Tree World

★★★★ (5/5)

I’ve always had a real Christmas tree, but find vacuuming up the needles everyday as well as trying to remember to water it, all a bit tedious! I’ve never considered buying a tree online, but collecting a tree from a shop in my small car, as well as unloading it when I got home would be a bit of a struggle. So, when I came across Christmas Tree World I was very excited!

The website is really simple to navigate and you can search by size, type, whether you want something pre-lit or not and also by price. They have a great selection, with a good choice of sizes (from mini to a whopping 20ft) as well as green, white, frosted and even black trees for those looking for something a little less conventional. You can even get half trees for tight corner spaces!

The tree I wanted would also need to work for the Yours magazine Christmas photo shoot, so needed to be big, bushy and realistic. I went for a 7ft Pre-Lit Ultra Devonshire tree, which is priced at £349.99, but at the time of writing this is on sale for £199.99. It was of course huge, so for a normal sized home the 5ft version priced at £169.99 (currently on sale for £99.99) would be a better choice. Alternatively, there are lots of un-lit styles to choose from priced at under £50 and some great pre-lit styles that are not much more.

Delivery is currently free on orders over £30 and Christmas Tree World aim to ship orders the same day or next day. Our tree arrived by courier in a few days and was well packaged to avoid any damage. While it’s perhaps a little early to put it up at home, we did get to give it a trial run on the recent Yours photo shoot.

The tree itself is of a good quality, is sturdy and perhaps most importantly was quick and easy to put together! The floor stand also has plastic tips to prevent it scratching the floor, which was a nice touch. It looked pretty realistic and was really nice and bushy, so there wasn’t any gappy bits. Opting for a pre-lit tree meant the whole thing was up and ready to decorate in minutes. It was also just as quick to take down and there was no faffing around trying to untangle the lights.

Once decorated the tree looked beautiful and overall the shopping experience was completely stress-free. Roll on December!
