Proving that slow cookers are staging a comeback in our kitchens, Aldi has re-launched its popular Delta Kitchen Slow Cooker, priced at just £12.99 in stores, while stocks last.
Still hot from its launch in September 2013, which saw the discounter sell over 11,000 3.5 Litre Delta Kitchen Slow Cookers in just three days, it seems they are fast becoming a favourite kitchen gadget as people look for a time-saving solution to preparing flavoursome home-cooked food.
Most recipes cooked on the hob or in an oven can be done in a slow cooker. Customers can pick up Aldi’s Lean Diced Beef (£2.85 per 400g pack) to create a delicious beef bourguignon, whilst Lamb Leg Steaks (£3.19 per 300g pack) can be used to make a tasty Irish stew.
Lifestyle and consumer expert Jennifer Newton says: “From my experience the slow cooker can be used straight from the box. Simply add the ingredients to the pot and leave on low if out for the day, or up the temperature to high if needing food in four hours instead of ten.”
“What’s more, the removable ceramic pot is good enough to bring to a dinner party table, serving delicious fork-soft meat with stews and curries cooked on low. A whole chicken can be done, too, with meat coming out soft and juicy,” she adds.
Look out for Aldi’s larger 6.5 Litre slow cooker in stores from 23rd October.
- Aldi is also hosting an in-store baby and toddler Specialbuys event from today. Pick up everything for junior from baby fleece blankets (£2.79) and buggies (£22.99) to baby-wipe multipacks (£2.39 for 4-pack).
