Stuff their stockings - or your own - with a silly Christmas hat from F&F, and support a wonderful cause at the same time.
F&F (available at Tesco) has paired up with charities FareShare and The Trussell Trust to create 12 hats, with styles for women, men (both £7) and children (£5) available, with £1 from every sale being donated to help people facing hunger and poverty this winter.
FareShare and The Trussell Trust are committed to ensuring that adults and children across the UK struggling with hunger, poverty and isolation are provided with much needed food and support. Studies have shown that a vulnerable hungry child is often unable to concentrate in class yet 32 per cent of school children regularly miss breakfast; a key concern for both charities.
The Trussell Trust’s network of over 400 foodbanks aims to stop UK hunger by providing a minimum of three days’ emergency food and support to people in crisis that have been referred by frontline professional agencies such as children’s centres, housing associations or Citizens advice. FareShare focuses on rescuing good food, which would otherwise go to waste, and redistributes it to charities like women’s refuges, homeless shelters and children’s breakfast clubs. Both charities are helping to break the cycle of poverty.
The hats are available in 600 Tesco stores across the UK with prices starting at £5. The range will be available from the beginning of November in store and online at www.f-f.com
