Feel body confident this summer – whatever your shape
Go for waist-trimming styles with swimsuits with built-in support panels, belt details and clever tricks to help give you back your waist. If your legs are your best feature, consider a higher cut bottom, which will make them look longer and slimmer.
Polka dot Magisculpt swimsuit, £45, 12-32, Marisota
A looser top disguises a wobbly tummy.
Stick to underwired styles with full cups for comfortable support. Halter neck styles also work well as you can adjust the straps to offer better support. Belt and tie details are great for helping balance out your top and bottom half.
Bespoke fit swimsuit, £47, 12-32, Simply Be
Available in standard (B, C, D and DD cup sizes), voluptuous (E, F, G and GG) and very voluptuous (H, J and K+)
Curvy all over
As always hidden support panels can work wonders, so look for well-structured swimsuits that hold you in. Swimdresses are also a great option if you're self conscious about your tummy, hips or thighs.
Rose print swimdress, £22, 10-32, Bonmarché
Has inbuilt cups for support.
Be clever with pattern and try horizontal stripes that will help broaden your body shape. Enhance a smaller bust with halter and plunge necklines and ruffles, which can help add bulk to smaller frames.
Stripe swimsuit, £32.50, 8-22, Marks & Spencer Collection
Moulded cups and underwired styles will help give a boost to smaller busts.
Look for comfortable and secure pockets combined with figure-fixing panels to create a gorgeous shape. Mastectomy specialists have a great range of swimsuits with pockets both sides and great attention to detail.
Peony swimsuit, £39.99, 32-42, Nicola Jane
Look for swimsuits that will help balance out your wider hips. Contrasting colours work perfectly, just make sure you go for a lighter top half teamed with a slimming darker bottom. Avoid short styles, which can make you look bigger and choose structured or moulded cups to make the most of your bust.
Coral Magisculpt Bum Lifter Swimsuit, £45, 12-32, Marisota
Has a powermesh sling to lift and shape the bottom.
Don't be afraid to show off your shape with belted styles and flattering plunge v-necklines. Classic and wrap styles look great and if you opt for a tankini keep the colour and pattern the same so you stay in proportion.
