Beat the bloat
Use the versatile grains in your bath to help soothe a stressed stomach, by drawing water out of the stomach and into the gut. Simply dissolve them in warm water and watch them work their magic.
Epsom salts can make hair look fuller and feel softer. Mix them with your conditioner - in equal parts - and warm in a pan, until the salt dissolves. Work it through your hair, relax for 20 minutes, and then rinse it out. Alternatively, to remove excess oil from hair and repair damaged hair ends, just add a handful when you shampoo and wash as normal.
Another reason to add them to your bath - they relax your muscles, reduce bruising and swelling. Put two cups of salts into a warm bath and bathe for 20 minutes to help the magnesium soak into your pores.
Get radiant skin with a spot of exfoliation. Epsom salts are a natural cleanser as minerals help to draw out impurities and the exfoliation helps to remove dead skin cells. Just add a small amount to a cleanser, massage onto your skin, rinse with cool water and pat dry.
A natural inflammatory, Epsom salts can help relieve aches, pains and swelling from tired feet. Not only that, they can also help remove odours and soften dry skin. Simply add half a cup of salts to a bowl of warm water and soak your feet for 15-20 minutes.
A lack of magnesium in the body can be a cause of migraines. It may not taste great, but put a pinch of Epsom salts mixed into a glass of water (and drunk quickly!) can do the world of good.
