Do you need a good excuse to hold a party? Would you like to raise money for charity?
Macmillan Cancer Support are encouraging people to hold a murder mystery fundraising event, called ‘Whodunnit?’
The idea is simple – there’s been a crime, at your house, and you and all your friends are in the frame. Invite them over on Saturday 25th March for an evening of mystery, accusations and outrageous over-acting, while you raise vital funds to support people affected by cancer.
With eight hilarious characters to choose from, ranging from heart-breaking socialite Ginny Goodtimes and superficial matriarch The Marchioness de Fromage to flamboyant tycoon Neville Loudmouth and clumsy butler Lenny Oopsidaisy, the hardest part of planning your evening will be the casting.
To take part, simply visit the Whodunnit? website - whodunnit.org.uk - and register to receive your murder mystery game pack, which includes everything from invitations and character scripts to costume suggestions and snack inspiration. Then, choose between five and seven friends to join you for the showdown and start planning. You can bring the theme to life as much or as little as you like.
There are approximately 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK and for most, it will be the toughest fight they ever face. It’s a fight no one should face alone and Macmillan is working to ensure no one does.
