Everyone loves a hedgehog – it’s something about their adorable snouts and beady eyes, not to mention their connection to Beatrix Potter. That’s why we were horrified to learn that ‘hogs are really struggling at the moment, and one charity in particular is desperate for help.
Shepreth Wildlife Park, in Cambridgeshire, is appealing for donations of pet food and old newspapers to use as bedding for the hundreds of orphaned baby hedgehogs they have recently taken in.

It’s a busy month for the centre, which is designed to look after 90 hedgehogs, but currently has 200 hungry mouths to feed.
