It's knitting needles at the ready once more as the country gets crafty for Age UK and innocent smoothie's annual Big Knit - and Dame Helen Mirren is lending her support.
And this year some rather famous faces have been getting in on the act as Age UK and innocent joined forces with Madame Tussauds London where some of the attraction's best known wax figures have been busy knitting and nattering to support this year's campaign.
The Big Knit, now its 13th year, is aiming this year to reach an incredible target of two million miniature woolly hats. Once knitted and submitted to your local Age UK, the hats will be paired up with innocent smoothie bottles and sold on shop shelves this October. Each be-hatted bottle will carry a 25p donation to Age UK's vital work to help support older people across the country.
But it's not just the waxwork Dame Helen who's supporting the campaign, with the real Helen Mirren commenting: "I'm honoured to be supporting the Big Knit. It's heart-breaking that each winter older people die every day because of the cold.
"Every hat donated to Age UK will help the charity raise vital funds to keep older people warm and well by providing vital information and advice as well as funding local services across the country. So please pick up your knitting needles and help make a real difference."
