Cook up a fish supper to support RNLI

Last year, Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) volunteer crew members missed 7,000 evening meals with loved ones, to brave cold, unpredictable and often dangerous seas.

That's why they're now asking you to enjoy a fish supper with your family and friends to help raise money for this life-saving charity.

Whether you like a traditional fish and chips feast or a fancy lobster thermidore, by hosting a fish supper you could help the RNLI, buy kit like wellies to keep our crew members on sure footing or fuel for one of our lifeboats. Whether you raise a little or a lot by hosting a supper, your donations will make a difference.

The idea is to sign up to host a fish supper here and the RNLI will send you a fundraising pack, full of recipes, table name cards and a handy guide to help you start planning your supper.

Then invite your nearest and dearest round for the RNLI Fish Supper weekend which runs October 14-16 and ask for donations or leave an open envelope on the table for your guests to contribute towards.

Finally, send on your donations to the RNLI in one of the three below ways:

  • Online here
  • By post: In England, Wales and Scotland please make a cheque payable to 'Royal National Lifeboat Institution' and send to The RNLI, West Quay Road, Poole, BH15 1HZ. In the Republic of Ireland please make a cheque payable to 'Royal National Lifeboat Institution' and send to The RNLI, Airside, Swords, Co Dublin.
  • By phone: Call (UK) 0300 300 9990, (Republic of Ireland) 1800 991 802

95 per cent of all the RNLI’s people are volunteers who sacrifice their time and home comforts to respond to their pagers at a moment’s notice. They care passionately about saving lives and all they ask for is the right kit, training and support. By hosting a Fish Supper, you can be sure you’re helping to save lives.
