The Queen is set to celebrate her 92nd birthday next month and a host of stars are taking to the stage to perform for her live music event with the BBC. You may be a little surprised by some of the acts however.
Musicians performing include Shawn Mendes, Kylie Minogue, Craig David, Sir Tom Jones, Sting, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Anne Marie and Shaggy! All the acts will be performing for Her Majesty at the Royal Albert Hall in London and will be aired on April 21st which is the Queens actual birthday.
According to Buckingham Palace, many members of the Royal Family will be in attendance, but currently we’re not sure whether Meghan Markle will be there ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry. We’re also not sure whether The Duchess of Cambridge will make it either as she is due to give birth to her third child in April.
As another celebration of the Queen’s birthday, there will be a BBC One special about Queen Elizabeth’s rule over the Commonwealth during the past 60 years. Presented by BBC News presenter, George Alagiah, the show will visit many of the Commonwealth nation’s the Queen has visited over the years.
