We thought Helen was brilliant as Queen Elizabeth in the 2006 film, The Queen, but we always wonder if the royal family ever watch the various tv shows and films about their famous family and in particular, what they make of them.
Now, the 73-year old actress, who won an Oscar for her portrayal of Her Majesty, has revealed to Good Morning Britain that young Princes William and Harry were very amused by her playing their grandmother. Speaking to presenters Ben Shepard and Susannah Reid, Helen said: "The younger (ones), Harry and William, have mentioned it and they've been very funny about it, very cool about it.
"I think Harry once said, when I was at a awards ceremony, he said, 'And Granny is here', and I felt insulted by that."
There is however one royal who has avoided having conversations with her about her iconic role and that’s Prince Charles. Despite the numerous times the two have met one another through her work with the Princes Trust, the prince has never mentioned her role playing his mother.
She added: "No, no, that's never mentioned. That's never mentioned, he is very, very tactful."
