My skin seems to be getting drier by the day. What can I do to put some moisture back?

Mature skin is drier, and needs nourishment to look its best. Slather on face, hand, and body cream every day, and your skin will soon look - and feel - noticeably softer and smoother.

It is worth looking for a moisturiser specifically formulated for older skins but you don’t need to spend a fortune. Remember that a moisturiser can keep the skin moist and reduce the appearance of fine lines, but no product has so far been shown to turn back the clock.

It’s a good idea to avoid the sun and never leave the house without an SPF on your face - it will help slow down the ageing process.

Nourish your skin from inside too, by drinking lots of water and herbal teas to flush out toxins. We love peppermint tea, which is also good for the digestion. Try to eat two portions of oily fish - such as salmon and mackerel - each week. They’re packed with essential omega 3 fatty acids, which are beneficial for your skin.
