4mm (UK8) crochet hook

TENSION
13 sts and 1 repeat = 10cm/4in square over border pattern using 4mm hook.
It is essential to work to the stated tension to ensure success.

BORDER
Join shoulder seams. With RS facing, rejoin yarn to lower edge of right front and work 2tr, 1ch, evenly all round lower edge, ending with 2tr at left front lower edge. Fasten off.

TO MAKE UP
Join sleeve seams for 3(3:5:5:5:5)cm/ 1¼(1¼:2:2:2:2)in, sew remainder of sleeve seam to sts left unworked at armholes. Sew in sleeves.
Using 4 strands of yarn make 2 twisted cords 34cm (13½in) and sew to fronts. Pin out garment to the measurements given. Cover with damp cloths and leave until dry. See ball band for washing and further care instructions.

For the neatest look, pick up stitches along the border in the same points in the row ends each time.
