An ideal project for those long winter months, this draft excluder is so easy to make and requires no sewing! All you have to do is tie the fringes together and you have the perfect project for keeping out cold drafts.

- 24 in. (60 cm) patterned blue and white star fleece, 60 in. (150 cm) wide
- Vanishing marker pen
- Toy filling
- Long ruler
- Basic sewing kit
1. Lay the fleece on a flat surface and cut out two 12 x 40-in. (30 x 100-cm) strips. Place them wrong sides together, and pin together along the center.
2. Cut a piece of card 2in. (5 cm) sq. Lay the fleece on a flat surface. Place the card square on each corner of the fleece in turn and draw around it with a vanishing fabric marker pen. Cut away the square corner sections, cutting through both layers of fleece.
3 Place a long ruler on the front fleece piece, aligning it with the inside edges of the cut-out corners. Using a vanishing fabric marker pen, draw a line all around.
4 Cut 2-in. (5-cm) slits 3⁄8 in. (1cm) apart all around the fleece, cutting up to the lines you drew in step 3 and making sure you cut through both thicknesses of fleece.
5 To attach the top piece of fleece to the bottom piece, tie the fringes together in a double knot. Work three quarters of the way around, then remove the pins. Stuff with filling, and knot the fringes together.
