NOTES
Figures in brackets () refer to larger sizes (see measurements chart). Where one set of figures is given this applies to all sizes. If a zero is given, this means you do not need to work these instructions. Circle the size you wish to make before you start.

In this pattern chains are included in the stitch count and referred to as stitches for the purpose of following the pattern.

PATTERN
BODY
Ch 125(185:203)
Foundation row (RS): (1 dtr, 4 ch and 1 dtr) into 7th ch from hook,
*1 cluster over next 6 ch, 4 ch, 1 dtr into same ch as used for 2nd “leg”
of cluster just worked, rep from * to last 4 ch, 1 half cluster over last 4 ch,
turn. 122(182:200)sts.
Now work in patt as folls:
Row 1: 6 ch (counts as 1 dtr and 2 ch), 1 dtr into st at base of 6 ch, *1
cluster over next 6 sts, 4 ch, 1 dtr into same place as 2nd “leg” of cluster
just worked, rep from * until 2nd “leg” of cluster has been worked into dtr at beg of previous row, 2 ch, 1 dtr into same place as 2nd “leg” of
cluster just worked, turn.
Row 2: 4 ch (does NOT count as st), miss (1 dtr and 2 ch), (1 dtr, 4 ch
and 1 dtr) into next st, *1 cluster over next 6 sts, 4 ch, 1 dtr into same
place as 2nd “leg” of cluster just worked, rep from * to last 4 sts, 1 half
cluster over last 4 sts, turn.
These 2 rows form patt.
Cont in patt until work measures 80(92:99)cm/31 1/2(36 ¼:39)in
Fasten off.

MAKING UP
Press lightly.Fold body so that foundation ch edge and top of last row match. Join “sleeve” seams by joining row-end edges for 20(23:25)cm/8(9:10)in leaving section nearest fold open - this forms armhole opening.
Armhole opening borders (both alike)
With RS facing attach yarn to armhole opening edge at end of “sleeve” seam, 1 ch (does NOT count as st), work 1 round of dc evenly around armhole opening, ending with ss to first dc. Do not turn.
Next round (RS): 1 ch (does NOT count as st), 1 dc into each dc to
end, ss to first dc.
Fasten off.
Outer edging
Work as given for armhole opening borders.
Weave in ends.
Refer to ball band for washing and further care instructions.

YOURS TIP
Making the tension square will allow you to practice the pattern over a smaller area. Start with a chain of 35 or 41.
