As a gran - I am Nana, but I became a great grandmother a couple of years ago and I do not know what my great grandchildren should call me.

This is a question that has puzzled me for some time I have 2 great grandchildren a 3rd on the way. The eldest is 3 years old and does not call me by any name ,this is very sad. As I am called Nan by my 6 grandchildren [this was my choice] perhaps the obvious chice is Great Nan ! although this is a bit of a mouthful what do you think. Mary Hobbs

As all my grandchildren are half French, half English we generally use the French 'Mamie' plus first name. So I am Mamie-Ann, but when they want to practise their English I become just grandma, which I love too. Choose the name you feel happiest with. The kids will love it whichever generation they are to you. Enjoy them and love them to bits!
