Will there be free bus travel around Clacton-on-Sea, (Walton-on Naze, Great Clacton, Frinton and around the Bath area?? Will there be a leaflet-booklet explaining where the Free travel will be? How are we to know?

The new English National Bus Scheme begins on the 1st April 2008 and is eligible for use throughout England, although there are certain limitations. An ordinary Freedom Pass in London allows you unlimited travel on all public transport within the designated zones. The National Scheme Freedom pass is eligible in England outside London between 9.30am and 11.00pm, Monday to Friday and all day at weekends and on public holidays. Therefore while you can use the pass for bus travel in and around Clacton-On-Sea and Bath, you can only do so during these times. If you use it at other times you may be subject to a fine. To avail of this new concession you will also need to renew your existing pass (if you already have one) although you will not have to actually apply for the National Pass. The new pass will have an expiry date of 31 March 2010. If you wish to contact your local bus company to ask about specific routes, times and pass eligibility log on to www.traveline.org.uk or call 0871 200 2233.For anyone who hasn't seen the new pass you can find a specimen picture and some helpful information on its terms of use at http://www.freedompass.org/questionsanswered.htm#national.

It's great to use the free bus pass when you get sick of driving or the road is too long and you don't trust yourself to do it alone. Luckily for me, both I and my boyfriend know how to drive, so we usually choose to take a trip with our recently bought set of wheels from a motor homes for sale agency. I do miss talking to strangers in a bus, sometimes, though.

With a free bus pass can not travel so far as you want, but nowadays the bus agencies make discounts for their loyal customers. I have become a regular client to a international bus company and often I get big discounts. I love the offers because my hobby is traveling. Actually this May I plan to go to North Carolina, where I can stay for several days to hotel in fayetteville. I read that the weather this period of year is wonderful. You can do as I did, but a local level.

I've been checking the Buffalo classifieds regurlarly and have been wondering the same thing as i am regularly travelling to the UK from the US. will follow this thread and keep an eye out for new information. Have thought to rent a car but im not particularly confident behind the wheel anymore, let alone in a foreign country.

I know that a free bus pass must be renewed from time to time. I remember when I was working at a car dealership Framingham agency that the buss pass could save one from a lot of technical troubles. It's been 10 years since then and I'll use it.

I am young now and I can't imagine how it's going to be when I'll be older. Of one thing I'm sure: I will be donating a car to a center and I will take a long, long ride. I hope it will be worth it.
