Yesterday I misread a recipe for a casserole and put in a dessert spoon rather than a teaspoon of salt! I had to throw it all away. Is there anything I should do if I make the same mistake again?

Don't worry Lois, we've all done it!

Next time don't throw it out, instead peel a potato, cut it into medium size pieces and add to the casserole. Simmer until the potato is soft and lift out carefully.  The potato should have absorbed a lot of the saltiness.

What can I do if I add too much salt?

pI have never tried it but I understand that if this happens you should add a raw peeled potato to the casserole, which should absorb the salt./p pHTH img alt="" src="/FCKeditor/editor/images/smiley/rte/smile.gif" //p p /p p /p
