Where do we stand in relation to 60ft tree? It blocks out the light to our back garden and the roots have killed off a lot of what was growing there. If they fell it, they would bring down a power cable. We have spoken to our neighbour, but found him very protective of his trees. We have lived here for 24 years, and have photos of the height of them then.

Contact the local authority. They can arrange for the trees to be cut back but I'm afraid you may have to pay. They can give you the details of how to go about it.

I am sorry for your predicament I wish I knew of an answer to help you,we are having problems with our neighbours in regards to their trees and bushes coming over onto our property and coming through the fence we put up . My husband is unable to cut them any longer and they won't cut them or pay for someone else to do it .Does anyone have any advice for us as we haven't a clue.!! THanks

get in touch with your Insurance Company and see if they are any help. Mine sent a tree specialist out and looked at the roots.
