Tension

19 sts and 24 rows = 10cm/4in square over rib pattern after pressing using Wendy Serenity Aran on 4.5mm needles or the size required to give the correct tension.

Always check tension carefully and adjust needle sizes throughout if necessary.

Back

Using 4mm needles cast on 81(87:91:97:103:107:113) sts.
1st row (RS) K1, *p1, k1; rep from * to end.
2nd row P1, *k1, p1; rep from * to end.

Change to 4.5mm needles
1st row
(RS) K5(1:3:6:2:4:0), *p1, k6; rep from * to last 6(2:4:7:3:5:1) sts, p1, k5(1:3:6:2:4:0).

2nd row P5(1:3:6:2:4:0), *k1, p6; rep from * to last 6(2:4:7:3:5:1) sts, k1, p5(1:3:6:2:4:0).
These 2 rows form the rib pattern.
Cont in rib patt until Back measures 8(8:8:8:9:9:9)cm/3(3:3:3:3.5:3.5:3.5)in, ending with a WS row.

Purl 6 rows, work 4 rows rib patt, purl 6 rows.
Cont in rib patt until Back measures 39(39:40:40:40:39:39)cm/15.25(15.25:15.75:15.75:15.75:15.25:15.25)in, ending with a WS row.

Shape raglan
Cast off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows. 75(81:85:91:97:101:107) sts.
Next row K2, skpo, patt to last 4 sts, k2tog, k2.

Cast off.

Pocket linings (Make 2)

Using 4mm needles cast on 19(19:19:19:21:21:21) sts.
Beg with a knit row (RS), cont in stocking stitch until Pocket Lining measures 10(10:10:10:11:11:11)cm/4(4:4:4:4.25:4.25:4.25)in, ending with a WS row.
Leave sts on a holder.
