Abbreviations
alt - alternate, beg - beginning, cm - centimetres, cont - continue, dec - decrease(ing), foll – following, in - inch(es), inc – increase(ing), k - knit, k2tog – knit 2 stitches together, m1 – make one stitch by picking up the strand between the needles and working into the back of it, mm millimetres, 0 – no stitches, rows or times, p – purl, p2tog – purl 2 stitches together, patt – pattern, rep – repeat, RS - right side, skpo – slip one stitch knitways, knit one stitch, pass slipped stitch over, st(s) - stitch(es), tbl – through back of loops, tog – together, WS - wrong side, yo – yarn over needle or yarn round needle to make a stitch.
19 sts and 24 rows = 10cm/4in square over rib pattern after pressing using Wendy Serenity Aran on 4.5mm needles or the size required to give the correct tension.

Change to 4.5mm needles1st row (RS) K5(1:3:6:2:4:0), *p1, k6; rep from * to last 6(2:4:7:3:5:1) sts, p1, k5(1:3:6:2:4:0).2nd row P5(1:3:6:2:4:0), *k1, p6; rep from * to last 6(2:4:7:3:5:1) sts, k1, p5(1:3:6:2:4:0).These 2 rows form the rib pattern. Using 4mm needles cast on 19(19:19:19:21:21:21) sts.Beg with a knit row (RS), cont in stocking stitch until Pocket Lining measures 10(10:10:10:11:11:11)cm/4(4:4:4:4.25:4.25:4.25)in, ending with a WS row.Leave sts on a holder.
