If you are interested in offering prizes for a competition of giveaway please study the frequently asked questions (below) before contacting Editorial Promotions at the address below.

Frequently asked questions

How much space do I get and what is the minimum perceived prize value?
We don’t charge you to run a competition, but we do insist on a minimum prize value for the benefit of our readers. Space is approximate and MPVs are as follows:
·  1/6 page (approx 50 words)  - £350+
·  Approx 1/4 page (approx 75 words) - £500+ 
·  1/2 page (approx 150 words) - £1k - £2k
·   Full page (approx 250 words) - £2k+
·   Web Exclusive (approx 250 words) - £350+

How long does each competition/giveaway stay on the website?
All competitions and giveaways feature on the website with a link through to your site if required. They usually remain on our site for just over 3 weeks - really depending on the closing date in the magazine. Web exclusive competitions will stay up for up to 5 weeks.

Can I have copy approval?
Yes, a PDF is emailed to you prior to publication for copy approval (but Yours Magazine has the final say on content and aesthetics).

Where do the entries go?
All entries come to Yours magazine on a multi-entry coupon or via our website.

Can I run a reader offer?
Any readers offers (% discount, BOGOF, money off etc) can only be in conjunction with a competition, but if you’d rather not run a competition, please contact Advertising

And in terms of prizes?
Discount/offer prizes will NOT be accepted, neither will those that require the winner to subscribe to continue to use the prize. Holidays, short breaks, spa days and days out should be for a minimum of two people and include travel costs OR full board. If the prize is a holiday abroad, it must include return flights and transfers.

Can you capture the data?
Yours magazine doesn't capture the competitions postal/phone data, but you can have the names and addresses of entrants opting in for 3rd party correspondence for free. Please note it is only valid for one mailing.

Do you dispatch the prizes?
Unless prior arrangements have been made, Yours magazine will advise the winners and pass their details to you for fulfillment within 20 working days.

Can we have our competition or giveaway in a certain section of the magazine?
Competitions and giveaways will go on the dedicated pages. If you’d like your competition or giveaway to feature in a specific section, please contact Advertising

Can I specify an issue?
If booked well enough in advance, preferences can be meet. However, very occasionally last minute page/layout changes will need to be made, so we can’t guarantee a specific issue.

What is the average entry rate for each section?
1/6 page (£350): betw 4000-7000
1/4 page (£500): betw 4000-8000
1/2 page (£1000): betw 5000-9000
1 page (£2000): betw 6000-10,000
