Do I have to register?
All users can read the Forums, but you must be registered and logged in if you want to contribute (either post a new topic or reply to existing threads). Registration is free and only takes a few minutes. There are a number of required fields to complete. The information you provide during registration will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

How can I sign in or register?
Make sure you are registered and signed in if you want to contribute to the forums. Click on Sign In/Register (top right) and complete a simple form to create your profile. You will need to choose a username and password that are unique to you. Make sure they are memorable, because you will need to use it every time you sign in to the site. Both the user name and password fields are case sensitive so make sure you take a note if you have used capital letters. If your username is, for example, "MaryThornton", you must use the capital M and T when you sign in -  "marythornton" will not work.

Why can’t I sign in to the site?
The username and password are case sensitive. This means that if you have used a capital letter in your username you have to make it capital every time you log in (see above). If you are still having problems, please email us.
If you lose or forget your password it is simple to change. All of the pages that require you to identify yourself with your username and password carry a Forgotten Your Password? link. Click here and a code will be sent to your nominated e-mail address. Follow the instructions in the email and you will be able to create a new password. For technical reasons we cannot tell you what your password is.

How do I start a new topic?
The forums are split into subject areas, which contain different rooms that cover all aspects of your lives. Enter the room that best suits the topic you want to create. Click on Create New Topic that sits just above the other topics.
Give your topic a Subject and then write your Message. Click on Submit and it should then appear in the room it was placed in.

How can I reply to a topic?
If you are reading another users topic you can post a reply. Click on Reply to this post, which is under the original post and all of the replies. Add a title and click Submit. Then enter your reply in the box. There is an option to attach up to 3 images to the post by clicking Browse and opening a picture. Then click Submit.

Can I edit my own posts?
Search for the post or topic that you want to change (you can only edit or delete your own). There should be two options under your entry. To delete it completely just click the Delete button and you will be prompted to confirm that you are sure. To edit it click on the Edit button and it will allow you to change what you have written. Click Submit to save the changes. No one else can edit your post, except for the forum Moderators or the forum Administrator.

Can I have signatures?
At the moment, signatures can't be attached, but you still have an extensive profile with the ability to add a user gallery, create a friends list and log your latest posts.

How do I make an Avatar?
Your Avatar may is uploaded in your profile. Once signed in click on Personal Profile, then Edit Online Profile. Here you can upload new avatars, pictures and videos.

Why is my profile private?
You can manually make your profile visible to other users. Tick box in your profile that says: Make my profile visible to other users.

What are Moderators?
Moderators control individual forums. They may edit, delete, or prune any posts in their forums.

Are cookies used? 
These Forums use cookies to store the following information: the last time you logged in, your Username and your Encrypted Password. These cookies are stored on your hard drive. Cookies are not used to track your movement or perform any function other than to enhance your use of these forums. If you have not enabled cookies in your browser, many of these time-saving features will not work properly. Also, you need to have cookies enabled if you want to enter a private forum or post a topic/reply. You may delete all cookies set by these forums in selecting the "logout" button at the top of any page.

Can I attach files?
You can attach up to three pictures to your posts.

Can I search?
You may search for specific posts based on a word or words found in the posts, user name, date, and particular forum(s). Simply click on the Search link at the top of most pages.

Can I edit my profile?
You may easily change any information stored in your registration profile by using the Personal Profile link that is situated at the top of the left hand menu. Password and all of your profile information will appear on screen. You may edit any information (except your Username).

What do I do if I forget my password?
Changing a lost password is simple, assuming that e-mail features are turned on for this forum. All of the pages that require you to identify yourself with your username and password carry a Forgotten Your Password? link. Click here and a code will be sent instantly to your nominated e-mail address. Follow the instructions in the email and you will be able to create a new password. For technical reasons we cannot tell you what your password is.

Can I be notified by e-mail when there are new posts?
This is not a current feature of the forums, but should be coming in the future.
